How does the Ring Video Doorbell work?

There are two parts to this system. There’s the Ring Video Doorbell and the Ring Video Doorbell Pro.  The Ring Video Doorbell 4 allows you to see up to four seconds of high-quality color video before a motion event is triggered. This is an enhancement over the 3 Plus, which only features pre-roll footage in black and white.  The Ring Doorbell has features like geofencing that lets you alter the sensitivity of the motion detector. For those times at home, there is a snooze feature that silences alerts as long as you’re there. The quick replies feature can be likened to an answering machine for your doorbell. Guests can leave messages, which is different from the Alexa Greetings feature. The Ring Video Doorbell 4 does not have Alexa greetings at the moment.
