Based out of Australia, FISHER is a talented DJ and producer who specializes in house and techno music. His career began in 2012 when he teamed up with another DJ to form the duo Cut Snake. In 2017, FISHER went solo and released his first track “Ya Kidding” and since then has released multiple tracks that have made it to Billboard’s Hot Dance Electronic Songs Chart. Achieving major success with his singles “Hypnotized”, “Aqualight” and “Hit Girl”, Sébastien Léger is a French House DJ and Producer who has gained recognition in the music world. Take a listen to his latest track “Blazing Ice”.

“Blazing Ice” is out now via Lost Miracle and it’s available on all streaming platforms. At the age of 14, Sebastien discovered his passion for music through turntables. Five years later, he decided to take it one step further and began producing music. Vinyl’s From The Past: 15:09 to 18:24
We are going to take a brief break for Vinyl’s From The Past. In this limited run series, I will be exploring the pioneers that have shaped and influenced the EDM we have today. In this episode I will be featuring Benny Benassi.

Benny Benassi is an Italian DJ and Producer whose career started in the 1980’s. He originally was part of a duo with his cousin Alle Benassi and they formed the Benassi Bros. They both started producing music in Milan gaining popularity. In 2002 Benny gained international recognition for his single “Satisfaction”. Take a listen to it now.

“Satisfaction” launched Benny Benassi on the international stage with its catchy hood, fusion of electro, house and techno and layered vocals. This combination of things made it the most influential track in EDM because it brough electro house centerstage.

Singer and songwriter Grimes has announced that people can use her vocals to generate an A.I “sung” Grimes single; in which she will receive an equal split of royalties.  Grimes has entered into a partnership with TuneCore & CreateSafe to enable users to distribute collaborations with GrimesAI to major platforms.

In other news

Beatles legend Paul McCartney recently did an interview with BBC Radio 4 to discuss his upcoming book “Eyes of the Storm” as well as how AI has enabled him to work on the final Beatles project. During this interview Paul said that AI technology has been used to “extricate” John Lennon’s voice from a demo. Paul said this will be the Beatles last album and AI has helped finish it.

Kerr Slaven is a Scottish DJ, Producer and songwriter that goes by the name KC Lights. He fell in love with Dance music at the age of 17 when he traveled to Ibiza. Later studied music at University of Aberdeen where he gained an interest in producing. In 2020 KC released his smash Hit “Girl” and then later another hit “Cold Light”. He is back in 2023 with his latest track “Better Times”. Take a listen here.
