Alison Wonderland, well-known for her work as a singer, producer, and DJs, has launched her very own label: FMU Records. The first release from the label is “I Surrender”, a track that was created through a collaboration between Argentinean producer Dabow and South African artist Jon Casey. Alison’s label is all about giving rising stars a platform to shine and releasing music without succumbing to algorithm-based marketing strategies. She wants artists to be able to create freely, without bowing to industry demands.

Martin Garrix is teaming up with JBL to launch a music academy aimed at helping new artists get their start in the industry. The Martin Garrix & JBL Music Academy will invite 40 musicians, songwriters, vocalists and producers to join. There will be a masterclasses hosted by Garrix himself at his STMPD Studios complex in Amsterdam. Artists can apply by submitting a “motivational video” and a maximum of three tracks.

Sapporo, Japan is the home of DJ and Producer Satoshi Honjo; who began his music career in 1998 with Hardcore Techno. In 2003, he relocated to Tokyo and shifted his focus to mixing and producing sounds for the genre. As an organizer for “Adrenaline Tokyo,” Satoshi has introduced Japanese audiences to Hardtechno and Schranz by inviting European DJs like Kvitta, Kaoz, and Ewe since 2009. Satoshi is an accomplished Hard techno producer, having been featured by multiple record labels from Germany & UK.
