UDM: Start –  0:16   and     End -7:29
Ukrainian Trance producer Dmitriy Uskov who goes by UDM, has been making waves on the music scene since 2010. Supported by renowned artists such as Aly & Fila, Roger Shah, Rank 1 and Mark Pladger, Uskov has established himself as an important figure in the Trance scene. Check out his latest track “Sunlit”.

“Sunlit ” is out now via Activate Recordings and it’s available on all streaming platforms. Despite his global recognition for his contributions to Trance music, UDM prefers to keep a low profile and focus on the music itself. His tracks have gained much radio support from renowned DJ’s like Paul van Dyk, Aly & Fila, and Alex M.O.R.P.H., which has only served to further enhance his standing within the industry. Vinyl’s From The Past: 14:15 to 22:02
I am going to take a brief break for Vinyl’s From The Past. In this limited run series, I will be exploring the pioneers that have shaped and influenced the EDM we have today. In this episode I will be featuring “Stardust”.

In 1998 three of the top names in French House music, “Stardust” was a supergroup comprised of Thomas Bangalter from Daft Punk, Alan Braxe as producer and Benjamin Diamond as EDM vocalist. Together these three created an iconic trio in the genre. They released on single called “Music Sounds Better With You” and it quickly became a worldwide hit, achieving the number one spot in both US and UK charts. Take a listen to it here.

The originality behind “Music Sounds Better With You” was remarkable. From the simple sampling of a guitar loop from Chaka Khan’s “Fate”, “Stardust” created a unique sound not heard in mainstream techno and trance of the 90s. This melding of disco beats with repetitive lyrics created a captivating groove that sparked renewed interest in disco and house music, leading to the resurgence of French house. Unfortunately, this was the only song released by “Stardust” afterwards they disbanded.

That’s it for this week’s Vinyl’s from the past; now let’s get back to more music.

Italobros: Start – 22:04    and     End – 25:32
Coming from Scalea, a small village in the southern region of Italy is DJ and Producer duo ItaloBros. The duo has roots in “old school” music with influences of techno and deep house. Check out their latest release “Rosa”.

“Rosa” is out now via Hellbent Records and it’s available on all streaming platforms. For the latest on the ItaloBros upcoming projects visit: Instagram.com/italobros ; that’s Instagram.com/I-T-A-L-O-B-R-O-S

News Break:  25:33 to 26:32
We are going to take a brief break for some music news.

In an effort to increase responsible usage of AI, Universal Music Group has launched their Human Artistry Campaign and is now petitioning Congress for assistance. They are requesting a federal “right of publicity” which would protect individuals from unauthorized use of their likeness, including voice and name, as well as a requirement to label all AI-generated content. These changes could have far-reaching impacts on future regulations concerning artificial intelligence in addition to significantly impacting music industry standards.

In other news

A recent study conducted by Ditto Music shows that almost 60% of surveyed musicians are using artificial intelligence for either artwork development and songwriting assistance. Despite its potential benefits, many artists express reservations about integrating AI into their creative processes due to concerns about authenticity, accessibility, time constraints, and costs.

That’s it for this music news break, now let’s get back to the music.

Rossi: Start – 26:34   and    End – 33:53
Rossi, a DJ and Producer from London, has taken the Minimal House scene by storm. He first made his mark in the London club scene when he became a resident at Club Fabric. Since then, Rossi’s music career has skyrocketed and he has performed at some of the most well-known venues including Ministry of Sound, Studio 338, and Printworks. Check out his latest track “Get on the floor”.

“Get on the floor” is out now via Hot Creations and its available on all streaming platforms. 2019 saw Rossi make a huge impact on the Minimal/Deep Tech Beatport chart, with two tracks making it to the top spot within just two months. Rossi has also earned international recognition from fans around the world with performances across Europe, South America, Australia and Ibiza.
