DNA is not something we should be afraid of, but it’s also not something we should be handing over to any old company when we can help it. In the past couple decades, advances in genetic research have led to a new era of medicine where DNA is now a way of diagnosing and treating illnesses before they become more serious. But with this new era comes an increasing amount of people and companies that are using our DNA in ways we never considered.
