[The Real Reason] China Implemented Their Social Credit System

Millions of Chinese citizen’s lives are affected by social credit. From people watching you and high surveillance like facial recognition, social media and playing video games your credit is calculated. If you have a low credit score you can’t do simple things like buying a train ticket, plane ticket, receive the best medical care and more. Doctor Samantha Hoffman; whose research is focused on Chinese state security policy and social management gives a unique insight on China’s social credit system and how millions of peoples lives are being affected by this scoring system. Dr Hoffman also weighs in if this system will ever make its way to the United States.
